Mike "Mad Dog" Bell, Costarr of Bigger, Stronger, Faster Dies at 37

"Mad Dog" Mike Bell, who was featured in the movie "Bigger, Stronger, Faster," the heavily praised movie on anabolic steroids in sports, passed away this afternoon. He was 37.

Bell, on the left in the picture, was the older brother of producer Chris Bell. Mike wrestled in the Northeast and the West Coast, as well as being an enhancement wrestler with the WWE.

The movie "Bigger, Stronger, Faster," was a study of steroids in sports, as well as within Bell's family in looking at his brothers, Mike, his older brother, a pro wrestler with goals of making it to the WWE, and Mark, his younger brother, who also did some pro wrestling and was also a world class powerlifter.

From what I recall from the movie Mike had some issues surrounding drugs, so I'm wondering what the cause of death was.......

When someone like us passes at an early age, media screams "steroids" but they ignore whatever other drugs and/or high risk behavior they paticipate in.

...When our number's up we can't put the caller on hold! ('least not yet  Lips sealed). HELL. Newborn babies die, high school-age athlete's pass, etc. All from a natural cause/hidden health condition...
Police have yet to release a cause of death for Mad Dog Mike bell but an earlier report from Gene Byrd notes that " though he was only 37 years old, "He lived at a Costa Mesa live-in rehabilitation facility and that is where his body was found." Not saying "drugs" were involved, but...
also...imo "AAS" do NOT normally cause death. Diuretics that are over-consumed, potassium manipulation, etc. are moreso to blame...at least for someone who lives in/ for a "healthy inviroment/ lifestyle".

Shit I think every BB we've lost has been due to diuretics, DNP, or a combo of rec drugs/pain meds, but not one of 'em has died due to their usage of AAS. Hell I'll bet that even the guys with kidney issues are the results of diuretics and/or short term site enhancing compounds like nolotil, and not AAS.

It's sad when someone dies but like ya said "when your numbers up the games over".
