Is this possible? I was told that my mild acne might be caused by my protein intake. Also I was told that my acne might be caused by drinking milk (because cows are apparently injected with steroids and hormones to produce more milk and its passed off into the product).
Anyone else hear something like this?

I doubt if it's just the protein, and the anabolics given to food producing animals don't metabolize into active substances in our bodies. If they did, I'd have been one powerful motherfucker by age 11. Look at the rest of your supplementation program and diet. I'll bet something else may be setting it off, especially if you are predisposed to acne.

agreed, its not the protein. It is probably something else in your lifestyle. Anything from stress or hormonal changes or even to a new cologne can cause acne. I go through phases where I am broken out and then completely clear, for no apparent reason, and I am 33.

Indeed, protein won't cause you ACNE in any possible way.  Hormones used in food tend to be estrogenic (female) rather than testosterone (cause they are used to make animals gain weight), causing other type of problems but not skin comedones (acne).

How old are you?, cause you might be going through a hormonal stage where acne is an everyday praise.  Do you cover your face with cream or greasy sunblock? Cause yo could be blocking pores which causes the same pathology....

Cheers,

Camilo

Listen to Camilo (he's the brains around here when it comes to medical issues). Now that you know it isn't your protein what other foods are you eating and are you using any AAS?

Where I come from, cattle farmers use a combination that includes a lot of androgenic plus some estrogenic hormones. It has been a common practice (a little too much hassel for me) to isolate the testosterone propionate from the estriadol in the product Synovex and trenbolone from Fina. Another, Ralgro, has proven too hard to isolate the andogen from. I made a topical out of it using DMSO. I didn't gain muscle but you could watch my beard grow and not get bored.

Little things amuse little minds. At least we never wrecked a car or got arrested.

Hi HitMan. To answer your questions here...eating any protien (meat, dairy) from a source that has been "fortified" with any type of "growth/ recovery enhancement" is a non-factor and a huge misconception (thanks to our Feds)! I'm not sure of your age, but if you are younger your acne is probally caused from natty test levels in your system, or taking "oral" AAS (methenstenalone, stanazolol, anavar, etc) or even most OTC test boosters that are available.
